USDCAD started the week on a firmer note as price extends the bounce off last week's Dec 15 low of 1.2688. Trend conditions remain bearish and short-term gains are likely a correction that is allowing an oversold condition to unwind. Stronger gains would signal scope for a near-term climb towards 1.2986, the 50-day EMA. On the downside, clearance of 1.2688 would resume the downtrend. Initial support is at 1.2777, Dec 21 low.
