CPC September Loadings Revised Lower

OIL

The CPC crude loading schedule for September has been revised significantly lower from 5.15m tons to 3.997m tons according to Bloomberg.

  • The final plan equates to 1.05mbpd which is the lowest since Oct 2016. This compares to a revised 1.39mbpd in August and nearly 1.5mbpd at the start of the year.
  • The revision is due to a disruption at the CPC terminal where only one of three mooring are currently operational due to damage to buoyancy tanks reported after inspections. Reduced output is also due to recent maintenance at the Tengiz field and planned maintenance for Karachaganak for Sep 12 to Oct 6.
