$ Credit Spreads At 10 Year Tights

CREDIT UPDATE

We pointed out yesterday that the ICE BofA BBB Index of Corp spreads is trading in the bottom centile I.e. That 99% of the time in the past 10yrs, credit spreads are wider.
The ever bearish Telegraph has picked up on the theme.

  • "If so, US Treasuries, German Bunds, and UK Gilts are massively mispriced. So are BBB junk [sic] bonds trading at an average wafer-thin spread of 1.09pc, matching the extreme complacency seen before the global financial crisis."
