RENEWABLES: Croatia Eyes Solar Tenders in 2025

Croatia is planning to launch two solar tenders this year according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition (MZOZT), cited by PV Magazine. 

  • Croatia plans to launch a tender for €25mn to co-finance solar plants and heat pumps in the public sector in 2Q 2025. It also plans a second tender for end users in the first half of this year.
  • It further plans to launch a public call to install residential solar arrays in 2Q 2025, with plans to allocated €10mn.
  • In June 2024, Croatia’s energy market operator HROTE launched a renewable tender to support 607 MW of renewables, including 450 MW of solar.
  • In the tender it allocated 413.5MW of solar capacity with an average price of €0.056/kWh and 4.5MW of hydropower capacity at €0.158/kWh.
