Crude loadings from three western Russians ports in May dropped to a three-month low, according to Bloomberg.

  • A total of 8.8m mt, or 2.08m b/d of mostly Urals grade crude was exported from Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk in May.
  • This compares to 2.26m b/d of crude exports in April.
  • Primorsk loaded 875k b/d in May, with 662k b/d exported from Ust-Luga and 544k b/d from Novorossiysk.
  • The majority of the cargoes were Urals and around 92% of the cargoes were of Russian origin.
  • 80% of the Russian origin cargoes exported from western ports went to China, with 6% to China and 14% to Turkey.
  • Regarding Kazakh crude exported from Russia’s western ports, 71% went to Italy, 18% to Bulgaria, and 11% to Romania.
