Crude Tanker To Unload at Finnart Next Week

OIL

A Suezmax tanker, the Nordic Breeze, carrying US crude will arrive at the Finnart terminal in Scotland on 7 April according to Bloomberg ship tracking, suggesting the terminal may be returning to operations after being shut for almost three months.

  • The tanker is carrying 700,00 barrels of crude from a terminal in Houton that loaded 20-222 March. The tanker was chartered by PetroChina.
  • Only one other tanker discharged at the terminal in the past two months.
  • A small leak on the pipeline that feeds the Grangemouth refinery from the Finnart terminal caused the terminal to shut in early January.
