Czech Still Offers Lowest 10Y Real Yield (After Turkey)

  • CEE LT bond yields have been retracing sharply higher this month amid rising inflation risks, with 10Y yields trading at their highest level in 10 years.
  • Czech Republic still remains the country offering the lowest 10Y real yield among the EM world after Turkey, where the 10Y real yield plunged to -46% amid soaring inflation.
    • With a current inflation rate of 11.1%, Czech 10Y real yield is currently standing at -7.5%
  • China 10Y real yield (PPI adjusted) also remains very low (-6%) despite easing inflation pressures in recent months.
  • At the top, Indonesia is now the country that offers the highest 10Y real yield , with a 10Y real yield of 4.7%, shortly followed by South Africa ( 4.3%).
