Spot USD/THB reopened on a softer footing and last sits -0.175 at THB33.280. A break below THB32.985, which limited losses on Oct 26, would turn focus to the 100-DMA at THB32.802. On the flip side, a rebound above Oct 18 high of THB33.488 would clear the way to Oct 6 high/round figure of THB33.990/34.000.

  • On the data front, Thailand's consumer confidence will be published on Thursday, with monthly CPI data coming up on Friday.
  • Commerce Min Jurin said he instructed the Internal Trade Dept to watch the impact of floods on food prices and urged for cooperation from manufacturers to help keep prices in check.
  • Elsewhere, Thailand's daily Covid-19 cases fell to 7,574 today, the lowest level in four months. The nation reopened its borders to visitors from selected low-risk countries yesterday.
