Daly Doesn’t See Recession In Wake Of Fed Tightening

Not much to shout about in the latest round of comments from San Francisco Fed President Daly (’24 voter), who tells Fox that the U.S. economy has a lot of momentum and that she doesn’t expect a recession in the wake of Fed tightening. She highlights the central bank’s commitment to fighting in inflation, which is deemed “too high,” while underlining the need to adjust interest rates up to where they won’t stimulate or bridle the economy.
