REFINING: Dangote Head Say's It Could Run at Full Capacity in 30 Days
REFINING
The head of Nigeria’s Dangote refinery says it could begin operating at full capacity in 30 days Reuters reports.
- Edwin Devakumar, head of the 650,000 bpd Dangote oil refinery said it was currently operating at 85% capacity and "we can go 100 percent in 30 days."
- It is not clear if the refinery actually intends to try and do so but recent tenders show the refinery is looking to diversify its crude supply after failing to supply itself domestically as intended.
- Dangote has recently launched tenders looking for various grades from West Africa, Mediterranean, Brazil, Guyana and US for March 1-10 delivery.
- It has also recently began receiving crude from Cameroon, Chad and Angola for the first time.
