Dealers Look For Support After Downtick In Futures Overnight

JGBS

Futures finished overnight trade 3 ticks below Tokyo settlement levels after drifting lower during the European morning.

  • Most desks look for some support for JGBs in early Tokyo dealing given the late NY richening witnessed in U.S. Tsys (outlined earlier).
  • Local headlines continue to be dominated by the domestic political situation, with new PM Kishida not seeing the strongest start to his term (see earlier bullets for more colour on that matter).
  • A liquidity enhancement auction for off-the-run 15.5- to 39-Year JGBs will headline the local docket on Monday.
