US CPI increased by +0.2%, below the 0.3% expected by markets. Core 
inflation came in at +0.1%, also below the expected +0.2%. Year-on-year, 
both headline and core, were up +2.3%, with headline CPI seeing the 
largest increase since October 2018. Energy was up +1.4% in December 
while food came in at +0.2%. Shelter saw a +0.2% increase and medical 
care saw a +0.6% incease. Offsetting that, used cars and trucks fell 
-0.8% while  airfares fell -1.6%.
