Deputy PM to Meet Heads of Oil Companies

  • Turkish President Erdogan would like to discuss the resumption of the grain deal with Russian President Putin as he considers it a realistic scenario, the Turkish leader told the country’s media in New York. "Is there a possibility now that the grain deal will be resumed? We hope so. We will discuss it with Mr. Putin. In other words, I hope we will gradually increase [grain supplies via the corridor]," Erdogan was quoted as saying by the Anadolu state agency.
  • The Finance Ministry will adjust the tax burden on the extraction of platinum group metals if the concentrate contains gold, Kommersant reports citing a ministry letter. The tax on companies that mine gold-platinum concentrate have increased 3.5-fold while the tax burden for gold was kept at the same levels.
  • Deputy Prime Minister Novak will meet heads of oil companies to discuss the domestic fuel market, according to Interfax. The government will consider the federal budget draft for 2024. There are no major data releases or speaker events scheduled for today.
