DOLLAR-YEN: Despite earlier dovish remarks from BOJ Kuroda following the
unchanged BoJ decision, Usd/Jpy retraced gains with a move back under Y111.00 to
extended pullback lows of Y110.38. Minor recovery into NY has seen the pair hold
around the Y110.50/55 area, however pressure remains toward the downside. Next
support is seen at Y110.19/15 (Jan17 low, 61.8% Y107.32-114.73), opening a move
towards Y110.00 which is reported to hold large onshore demand.
-Quiet on the calendar today with main highlights from the Richmond Fed Mfg
Index at 1500GMT.
-Later at 2330GMT Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Evans will give
the introductory remarks for Michael Moskow during the "Chicago Council on
Global Affairs Conference.
-Option expiries: Y109.85($1.13bn), Y110.89-90($410mn), Y111.50($401mn).
