DOLLAR-YEN
DOLLAR-YEN: Despite slightly softening on Friday, the pair's constructive
technical picture remains after it broke above key down trendline resistance on
Thursday. Bulls will look for progress through Y111.50 to open up an attempt on
the 61.8% retracement of the move from Y113.17 to Y109.78 (Y111.88). Bears need
a close below Y111.00 to shift the outlook back to neutral, before targeting the
200-DMA (Y109.84).
- The Japanese docket is headlined by retail sales, the labour market report &
Tokyo CPI this week. It is also worth noting that BOJ's Suzuki will speak on
Wednesday.
