Developer Eyes 800MW Irish Offshore Wind Farm

Renewable developer SSE will submit an offshore planning consent application to the Irish planning authority board for its 800MW Arklow Bank Wind Park 2 project in the Irish Sea, according to SSE, cited by Renews.biz.

  • Subject to approval and a final investment decision construction could start in 2026, with the first power generated by 2029.
  • The plant will have 56 offshore wind turbines.
