Developers Team Up on Large-Scale Swedish Wind Farm

Renewable developer Hydro Rein has partnered with Swedish firm Pajala Almanning to develop a large-scale wind farm project in northern Sweden, the firm said today.

  • Both firms have signed lease agreements for development of wind in Sweden’s SE1 bidding zone.
  • The project could have up to 50 turbines, although the exact date of commissioning and capacity is not yet known.
  • But assuming an average capacity of 5MW of onshore turbines in Sweden in 2022, according to IEA Wind. The plant could have a capacity of up to 250MW.
  • The firm currently has 30 wind projects in various stages across Sweden.
