DMO FQ4 auction calendar (Jan-Mar) (1/4): Longs

The DMO has announced that it plans to launch a new 30-year gilt with an ISIN of GB00BPCJD997. GEMMs had favoured a new 30-year gilt whereas investors had favoured a 40-year gilt. The transaction will take place in the W/C 23 January. MNI expects a GBP5.0bln size.

4 auctions:

  • 1.125% Jan-39: 1 auctions on 8 February (this was a little unexpected).
  • 1.50% Jul-53 Green: 1 auction on 22 February (1 auction was largely confirmed by the DMO consultation agenda).
  • New 30-year gilt: 1 reopening on 21 March (MNI had expected at least 1 reopening in the quarter).
  • 0.50% Oct-61: 1 auction on 8 March (MNI had expected 1 auction if a new 30-year gilt was chosen for syndication).
