- The dollar pared back its losses into the NY open, as the rate grinded towards
Y109.75.
- Despite the release of weaker-than-expected headline US Durable Goods,
stronger components provide a counter to hold Y109.68-75.
- A sharp turn in the dollar after printing a new intra-day high of Y109.84 to
Y109.26 after Fed Chair Yellen leaves markets disappointed and made no comment
on monetary policy.
- A fresh wave of dollar sales, following US Tsys yields dropping and a further
spike in XAU, witnessed the rate print a new intra-day low of Y109.12.
- The dollar received a small lift off its intra-day low of Y109.12, following
US Tsys Yields rising and XAU falling from its highs, as the rate headed towards
Y109.30.
- With the main focus on eur/usd, following a somewhat hawkish tone from the
ECB'S Draghai the pair bounced between Y109.25/35 into the close.
