Duda Wants To Join Patriot Missile Talks With Germany, Unemployment Data On Tap

  • President Andrzej Duda would like to join negotiations with Germany on Patriot missile system, Deputy Foreign Affaits Minister Przydacz told Polsat News. He noted that Defence Minister Blaszczak remains in contact with his German counterpart. Reminder that Poland requested that the Patriot missile system offered by Germany is donated to Ukraine.
  • Deputy Finance Minister Artur Sobon estimated the cost of Russia's invasion on Ukraine to the Polish budget to be around PLN100bn in higher energy bills, various relief measures and additional defence spending.
  • Poland will publish its unemployment rate later this morning. The monthly rate is expected to have stayed at 5.1% in October, while the quarterly rate may have slipped to 2.5% in Q3.
