STOCKS: E-mini futures have gained after hours, with all 3 of the major U.S.
contracts pushing through their respective Wednesday highs in early Asia
dealing, aided by a solid round of quarterly earnings reports from the likes of
Facebook, Microsoft & Qualcomm.
- News surrounding Gilead's remdesivir drug helped support the space in U.S.
hours.
- A note that Wednesday saw S&P e-minis close above 2,930.28, the 61.8%
retracement of the Feb-Mar decline, which represents an important pivot point.
Our technical analysts notes that the break reinforces the underlying bullish
tone and signals scope for a climb towards 3,000 near-term. Contract last trades
at 2,950 after trading just shy of 2,960 at the re-open.
