E-Minis Looking Up, PMIs Headline

MARKET TALK

Little to note in core G10 FX in early Asia-Pac hours, with ranges tight and headline flow muted.

  • T-Notes hold a tight range after backing off from best levels in late NY trade.
  • The major e-mini contracts are threatening a clean break through their respective Thursday peaks, after tech drove the rally in NY hours. Relatively loose communique from China, pointing to trade talks with the U.S. "over the coming days" supported sentiment, even with a soft patch of U.S. data evident.Looking to the regional Asia-Pac docket on Friday, focus will fall on flash PMI data out of Japan & Australia, as well as an address from RBNZ's Ha & Buckle.
