ECB: Central Bank Sees France Situation As Contained

The piece writes that the widening of the German/French spread (on track for biggest weekly jump on record) and the weakness in local stocks has not prompted talks on crisis talks among ECB officials, and no talks have been considered as of Friday, according to sources.
  • The piece references the TPI instrument at the ECB, an asset-buying instrument used to ensure the smooth transmission of policy as the ECB began to normalise policy rates in 2022.
