EUROZONE DATA: Economic Sentiment Indicator (Aug 2019) Preview - 10:00 BST

Bloomberg Consensus: 102.3; MNI Median: 102.5; Prev (Jul): 102.7 - Markets look
for the European Commission's ESI to ease in Aug, with the consensus estimate
suggesting that the index will settle at its weakest level since Mar 2016 -
Flash consumer confidence (20% of the ESI) dropped to -7.1 in August following
July's rebound and remains well below its most recent peak of -2.8 in Dec 2017 -
Meanwhile, industrial confidence (40% of the ESI) is projected to remain at
July's 71-month low of -7.4 - Although, the EZ flash manufacturing PMI edged up
marginally to 47.0 in August, it remains in contraction territory with the
report noting the seventh consecutive decline of manuf output - On the other
hand, the services PMI reached a two months high (53.4) in August with service
activity increasing at a solid pace.
