- Bloomberg Consensus: 101.4; Prev (Nov): 101.3 
- The European Commission's ESI is seen broadly unchanged with markets looking
for a reading of 101.4 in Dec. 
- The indicator dropped to a 57-month low of 100.8 in Oct and rose slightly to
101.3 in Nov 
- Industrial confidence remains the source of weakness, with the index slipping
to a 75-month low in Oct before it increased marginally to -9.2 in Nov 
- Mkts are looking for another increase to -9.0 in industrial sentiment in Dec 
- According to the flash estimate, consumer confidence declined again to -8.1 in
Dec which would be the lowest level since Feb 2017 
- Service sentiment rose to 9.3 in Nov and is expected to improve further to 9.5
- The EZ's flash composite PMI ticked up marginally in Dec and the survey notes
that confidence about the future improved to its highest level since May
