- Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI): 100.8; Prev (Sep): 101.7 
- Consumer: -7.6 (Sep: -6.5); Industry: -9.5 (Sep: -8.9); Services: 9.0 (Sep:
9.5); Retail: -0.7 (Sep: 0.2); Construction: 4.7 (Sep: 3.4). 
- The ESI slumped to the its lowest level since January 2015, falling short of
markets projecting a decline to 101.1 
- Oct's decrease was led by a sharp drop in industrial sentiment, dropping to a
75-month low of -9.5, in contrast to markets looking for steady reading. 
- Consumer sentiment was in line with the flash results showing a 10-month low 
- While service sentiment slowed 9.0, its lowest since Jan 2015, retail trade
confidence plummeted to -0.7, down from 0.2. 
- Construction sentiment was the only category to register an improvement in
Oct, rising by 1.3 points. 
- Recently released flash PMI figures show a slight uptick for the services and
the manufacturing PMI, however, the indices remain at low levels.
