Economy Minister Meets With Inter-American Development Bank

  • Economy Minister Luis Caputo, alongside Finance Secretary Pablo Quirno, will participate in the annual meetings of the Inter-American Development Bank and the board meeting of the Inter-American Investment Corporation. They plan to meet with authorities from the IDB, the US Government and credit agencies such as IDB Invest and Fonplata, as well as private banks and investors interested in Argentina’s economic prospects, according to an Economy Ministry statement.
  • The bicameral committee meets in the Senate to discuss President Javier Milei’s executive decree at 2pm local time. There is no domestic data remaining this week, with focus turning to the next CPI prints due on March 12. As a reminder, President Milei said Wednesday that CPI inflation is expected to be close to 15% m/m in February, adding that the disinflation process is strong.
  • Separately, Argentina’s provinces have asked the national government to enable them to negotiate financing directly with multilateral organizations, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter. (BBG)
