- An Ecuadorian delegation led by Deputy Trade Minister Daniel Legarda met with USTR officials in Washington this week to keep working on plans to boost investment and toward an eventual trade pact, according to a statement by the ministry. (BBG)
- A fourth meeting of the bilateral trade and investment council will go ahead in the fourth quarter in Ecuador "where the progress of bilateral relations will be analyzed".
- Among results of the meetings, both sides agree to put the Protocol on Trade Standards and Transparency into effect "in the short term".
