BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: EGB/Gilt: After a busy week, it has been a quiet morning in global
bond markets this morning.
- There have been conflicting Brexit stories. Juncker's tone seemed to be
encouraging last night while headlines from Ireland this morning seem to suggest
that the UK is as far away from a Brexit deal as it ever has been.
- There has been some focus this morning on the German climate announcement
after headlines have stated that a deal has been agreed. However, the plan is
likely to have negligible impact in the short-term on issuance plans.
- There have been no updates from the Supreme Court who expect to make a ruling
early next week regarding whether the government broke the law by proroguing
parliament.
- Bund futures are up 0.11 today at 173.41 with BTP futures up 0.17 at 145.14
and OAT futures up 0.09 at 169.46.
