EGB/Gilt - Underpinned post the US Michigan miss

EGBs have traded within this morning ranges this afternoon.

  • Volumes have remained subdued given the lack of Tier 1 data.
  • US Michigan was the highlight, and saw a decent miss, keeping Bonds underpinned.
  • German curve lean flatter, while peripherals have widened.
  • Greece trades 1.7bp wider against the German 10yr.
  • Gilts have outperform and trade 2.1bps tighter versus Germany, back towards levels traded on Wednesday on the spread.
  • Looking ahead, after market we get Ratings from Moody's on Ireland and DBRS on Belgium
  • Gilt futures are up 0.28 today at 129.75 with 10y yields down -2.8bp at 0.572% and 2y yields down -2.5bp at 0.125%.
  • Bund futures are up 0.12 today at 176.70 with 10y Bund yields down -0.6bp at -0.467% and Schatz yields up 0.5bp at -0.746%
  • BTP futures are down -0.03 today at 155.15 with 10y yields up 0.8bp at 0.551% and 2y yields up 0.2bp at -0.493%
  • OAT futures are up 0.06 today at 162.37 with 10y yields down -0.1bp at -0.130% and 2y yields up 0.6bp at -0.709%.
