EGBs are trading slightly stronger and semi-core/periphery are fairly steady.
- U.K. P.M. May's gambit to pass a new Withdrawal Deal looks dead on arrival
based on news flow since her press conference Tuesday. Jun 19 Gilts up 51 ticks
at 128.89 (H: 128.91). Curve bull flattening (2s down 2.9bps, 10s 4bps).
- Draft of May`s deal set to be published Wednesday, but doesn`t look like it
will rescue her political fortunes.
- ECB's Draghi speaking in Frankfurt currently, though nothing on monetary
policy thus far. ECB`s Praet makes an appearance at 1130 UK time.
- FT reported that German "monetary hawks" are pushing for Weidmann to succeed
Draghi, with Germany missing out on other top E.U. spots.
- Speaking of Germany, Finanzagentur sells E3bln of 0.25% Feb-29 Bund later.
