BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: EGBs have started the session under pressure and drifted lower, as
European investors came back from the EU bank holiday Friday.
-Bund, BTP and OAT are in negative territory, despite the "Risk Off" tone, on
the back of the US-China rhetoric.
-Trump hinting on a possible release of a U.S. report on the Chinese origins of
COVID-19, and the threat of Tariffs.
-Focus in Europe this morning was on the PMI releases from EU countries , but
they have provided very little in terms of market movements.
-There's some focus shortly on the German constitutional court, which is due to
start at 10.00 CET.
-Gilts are up on the day, given the lower Equities, but most of the attention
here will be on the BoE this week, and plans on lifting lockdown.
-USTs have stayed buoyed, with other safer haven (like Gold), by Sino-U.S
concerns.
