EIA Increase Shale Gas Forecast to 97.24bcf/d in June

NATGAS

Gas output in the seven US shale basins is forecast to increase by 0.256bcf/d to 97.239bcf/d in June according to the EIA drilling productivity report released yesterday.

  • EIA has revised the May shale gas forecast down from 97.167bcf/d to 96.983bcf/d.
  • Monthly changes per region in mmcf/d are:
    • Appalachia +54 to 35.310 bcf/d
    • Permian +82 to 22.552 bcf/d
    • Haynesville +62 to 16.876 bcf/d
    • Eagle Ford +26 to 7.248 bcf/d
    • Anadarko -16 to 6.896 bcf/d
    • Niobrara +13 to 5.133 bcf/d
    • Bakken +35 to 3.224 bcf/d
