EIA Reduce Shale Gas Forecast to 98.366bcf/d in October.

Gas output in the seven US shale basins is forecast to fall by 0.339bcf/d to 98.366bcf/d in October according to the EIA drilling productivity report released yesterday.

  • EIA has revised the September shale gas forecast up from 98.262bcf/d to 98.705bcf/d.
  • Monthly changes per region in mmcf/d are:
    • Appalachia -137 to 35.718 bcf/d
    • Permian +11 to 23.745 bcf/d
    • Haynesville -106 to 16.196 bcf/d
    • Eagle Ford -70 to 7.542 bcf/d
    • Anadarko -77 to 6.610 bcf/d
    • Niobrara +17 to 5.165 bcf/d
    • Bakken +23 to 3.390 bcf/d
