POWER: EIB Loans ERG Group €243mn to Fund 270MW of Renewables

The EIB will provide a €243mn loan to ERG Group to support 270MW of renewable energy projects across Italy, France, and Germany, with the works to be completed by 2025, the EIB said

  • The funding will finance the construction of new wind farms, the repowering of existing ones, and the upgrading of solar plants.
  • These include three onshore wind farms in France, repowering wind units in Italy and Germany and upgrading solar power plants in southern Italy.
  • The EIB loan covers over 50% of project cost.
