CANADA: ELECTION WATCH: Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's support may
decline after apologizing last night for two photos that emerged of him
appearing in blackface, in 2001 when he was a teacher and earlier when he was in
high school. He said his actions were racist and he should have known better.
-Trudeau's chance of re-election with majority government Oct. 21 is 44%, up
from 42% yesterday, according to CBC poll tracker. Liberals and Conservatives
led by Andrew Scheer tied at 34% popular support.
-A party must win majority of 338 seats in House of Commons to pass budgets and
legislation without opposition support.
