ELECTRICITY: Alpiq Eyes 100MW French BESS

Alpiq has acquired a 100MW (200MWh) BESS project in France from Harmony Energy, with the unit to be energised by autumn 2026, it said.

  • Alpiq also confirmed plans to invest in additional BESS projects in Switzerland, Germany, France, and the Nordics,
  • This follows a previous acquisition of a 30MW project in Finland in June 2024.
