Eni has secured the UK government’s commitment and funding the for a license for the Liverpool Bay Co2 transport and storage project, a further step for the HyNet CO2 cluster, the firm said. 

  • The funding includes investment for Track 1 industrial emitters, with the firm inching closer towards the realisation of the HyNet project.
  • The HyNet project will initially store 4.5mn tons of CO2 per year and potentially increase storage capacity to 10mn tons of CO2 per year after 2030.
