The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared lower at €67.91/ton CO2e, compared with €69.37/ton CO2e in the previous auction, while widening the premium to the futures contract according to EEX.

  • The auction cleared at a 0.06€/ton CO2e premium to the futures contract, compared with a 0.02€/ton CO2e premium in the previous session.
  • The cover ratio was at 1.70, compared with 1.65 in the previous auction and slightly above the five-year average.
  • There was a total of 27 bids with 23 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €69.16/t CO2e and the median price was at €67.68/t CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is edging down today with weakness in EU gas prices.
  • EUA DEC 24 down 0.5% at 68.15 EUR/MT
