The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared higher at €63.30/ton CO2e, compared with €59.85/ton CO2e in the previous auction according to EEX. 

  • The cover ratio was at 1.69, below the five-year average but within the five-year range.
  • There was a total of 24 bids with 24 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €63.38/t CO2e and the median price was at €62.94/ton CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is trading higher, extending yesterday’s gains to rise to the highest since 2 October, indicating buying interest and support from natural gas markets.
    • EUA DEC 24 up 2.9% at 63.83 EUR/MT
