The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared lower at €62.02/ton CO2e, compared with €63.19/ton CO2e in the previous auction and the lowest for any EU EUA auction since 9 April according to EEC 

  • The cover ratio was at 1.41, below the five-year minimum.
  • There was a total of 20 bids with 18 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €62.84/t CO2e and the median price was at €62.04/ton CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is edging lower after trading rangebound this morning with downside from lower EU gas prices and upside from cooler weather and more bullish funds positioning in Wednesday’s COT data.
  • EUA DEC 24 down 0.1% at 62.53 EUR/MT
