EMISSIONS: German EUA Permit Price at Lowest Since 5 April

The latest weekly German EUA CAP3 auction cleared at the lowest since 5 April at €61.03/ton CO2e, down from the previous auction at €65.45/ton CO2e according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio stood at 1.85, slightly above the five-year average.
  • The mean price stood at €62.71/t CO2e and the median price was at €60.92/t CO2e.
  • There was a total of 19 bids with 17 successful bids.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is pulling lower this morning, exceeding losses in EU gas prices, with allowances currently tracking a weekly net decline of 7.1% amid mostly bearish fundamentals, diverging from moves in natural gas prices spurred by the renewed MidEast risk premium.
    • EUA DEC 24 down 1.7% at 61.68 EUR/MT
