Energy Min. Novak Tests Positive For COVID-19

RUSSIA

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has tested positive for COVID-19 as announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on August 18.

  • Novak is said to be feeling well with no symptoms of the virus and will continue to work remotely, having cancelled his trip to Russia's far east.
  • Energy Ministry spokesperson Olga Golant said that Novak would be able to join the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) videoconference to be held on August 19.
