Energy Ministry Announces HUF7trln Development Program

  • Hungary’s energy ministry announced a HUF7trln (EUR19.5bln) energy development program, business website portfolio.hu reported late yesterday evening citing a ministry statement. The ministry plans to finance the developments from a variety of sources, including EU support such as the Recovery Plan, the recently submitted RePowerEU Plan, the national budget and market financing.
  • At the first meeting of the Visegrad Group's (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) foreign ministers, participants said that continued cooperation was in their nations' interest, Hungary’s foreign minister Szijjarto said on Facebook. Regarding the ban on Ukranian grain, Szijjarto said "Many expressed their disappointment at the European Commission's actions".
