ENERGY: Norway’s Oil & Gas Output Exceeds Forecasts

Norway’s combined oil and gas production exceeded an official forecast by 8.3% in Aug, he Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) said, cited by Reuters.

  • Overall oil, condensate, natural gas liquids, and gas output stood at 0.664 mcm/d, or 4.2m boe/d, up 4.7% on the year.
  • Natural gas production rose to 348.7 mcm/d in August from 313.7 mcm/d in Aug. 2023 and exceeding the forecast by 10.8%.
  • Crude output fell to 1.77m b/d, down from 1.79m b/d in Aug. 2023. However, this came in above the preliminary forecast of 1.64m b/d.
