Energy Transfer Agree 2.1mtpa of LNG to Shell

Energy Transfer on Wednesday said it agreed to supply 2.1mtpa of LNG to Shell Plc for 20 years.

  • Supplies will be from its proposed Lake Charles terminal with first LNG deliveries under the contract as early as 2026.
  • Energy Transfer has recently has signed agreements with potential buyers to supply about 8mtpa.
  • Earlier this month they said they are aiming for 12 to 14mtpa of export agreements before making a final investment decision on the proposed Lake Charles LNG terminal later this year.
