ENERGY: What to Watch: API Inventories & WTI Options Expiry

  • The API US oil inventory data is due at 16:30ET ahead of the EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report tomorrow. US crude oil inventories are expected to show a draw of 0.2mbbl in the week to Sept. 13, according to a preliminary Reuters survey. Gasoline is expected to build 0.4mbbl and distillates to remain unchanged with a 1.2% pt drop in refinery utilisation.
  • The October 24 WTI options expire against the 19:30BST futures close price today.
