  • The latest Baker Hughes rig count data is due for release at 13:00ET.  The US oil rig counts edged down last week to 478 and the gas count dipped slightly to 101.
  • The ICE and Nymex commitments of traders reports are due for release today at 18:30GMT and 15:30ET. Money managers decreased net long crude positions in data last week. Net short ICE Gasoil positioning was the least bearish since mid August although Nymex positions maintain a net short position. Net long positioning for Nymex was the highest since April.
