EQUITIES
EQUITIES: Equities/futures are off early European session highs, though looks to
be fairly thin trade today with the U.S. holidays. 
- A constructive session for Asian equities, with Japan's NIKKEI up 160.52 pts
or +0.72% at 22306.48 and the TOPIX up 9.57 pts or +0.62% at 1552.33. China's
SHANGHAI closed up 62.244 pts or +2.01% at 3152.813 and the HANG SENG ended
248.93 pts higher or +0.99% at 25373.12.
- European equities have reversed earlier gains, with the German Dax down 15.12
pts or -0.12% at 12593.21, FTSE 100 down 37.35 pts or -0.6% at 6203.04, CAC 40
down 16.38 pts or -0.32% at 5033.53 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 9.17 pts or -0.28% at
3311.08.
- U.S. futures are weaker, with the Dow Jones mini down 53 pts or -0.21% at
25705, S&P 500 mini down 5.5 pts or -0.18% at 3123.5, NASDAQ mini up 11.75 pts
or +0.11% at 10367.
