Equity markets on Wall Street open lower.........>

US
US: Equity markets on Wall Street open lower despite a stronger showing for most
US equity futures in the European morning. Tech sector continues to lag, with
Apple leading the way downwards on reports that Trump suggested iPhones could be
hit by trade tariffs. Despite poor equity markets, treasuries are failing to
benefit, with T-notes sitting close to the day's lows as yields briefly show
above the 3.07% mark.
USD continues the theme of creeping lower since the NY crossover, turning
broadly flat on the session. US consumer confidence data up next, in just under
25 minutes.
